A musical "fun-raiser" celebrating
the Black Political Empowerment Project's Anniversary:
26 years serving the Metropolitan Pittsburgh community

To raise awareness of the organization and its programs, since 2006 the Black Political Empowerment Project has hosted B-PEP JAZZ, a six hour jazz marathon which features many of Pittsburgh's best musicians and vocalists.   Join us during National Jazz Appreciation month as we again host a program that has become the premier Pittsburgh-based jazz event of the year.   This event also enables B-PEP to raise funds that help defray the cost of the many fine programs it offers the Pittsburgh Region.

B-PEP JAZZ is held each year on Easter Monday, the Monday immediately after Easter, allowing those who have been observing Lent to let loose and celebrate with some of the best music to be found in the Pittsburgh tri-state area at any time of the year.   The program runs for 6 wonderful hours, from dinner time at 5:30pm until late evening at 11:30pm -- just in time to head home and get a good night's sleep for the next day.

The location has excellent transit service with numerous bus routes and nearby bus stops.   Parking is available in the area, for those who drive.   Metered street parking is effective until 6pm and free after that unless signs indicate otherwise.
